Cultural competency
One of NAAJA’s key differences is the value and priority we place on developing cultural competency.
Our Cultural Competency Framework 2020 – 2025 outlines NAAJA’s approach to using best-practice cultural competency in our services.
Some of the ways we ‘live’ our cultural competency framework include:
- we are led by an Aboriginal majority board
- we provide quality education and professional development programs for staff
- we integrate lessons in cultural competency across our services
- we are culturally responsive and adapt to local and regional contexts.
