NAAJA has an exciting Indigenous Throughcare Project. The project is nationally recognised and in 2012, we received a National Crime and Violence Prevention Award. The project aims to prevent reoffending by providing culturally relevant intensive pre and post release services for Aboriginal young people and adults. We case manage clients to help them address their transitional needs, including employment and housing, and improving life skills.

NAAJA is recruiting for the position of:

Intensive Case Manager

to join our Throughcare team. The right candidate will have:

  • In depth knowledge of the issues which affect incarcerated Aboriginal people.
  • A demonstrated ability to provide case management and counselling services to incarcerated Aboriginal people.
  • The knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the criminal justice system including the court process, corrective services and relevant legislation.
