NAAJA provides legal aid for Indigenous people in the Top End of the Northern Territory, with offices in Darwin and Katherine.

Short term position in Darwin
NAAJA’s civil section has a short term vacancy in Darwin (currently 6 month contract). We are seeking lawyers with initiative, common sense and a commitment to providing access to justice.
Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in civil law and an ability to provide high quality oral and written advice on a range of legal issues.
Lawyers in the civil section travel to remote communities throughout the Top End of the Northern Territory on a regular basis to conduct advice clinics.
Successful applicants will have a demonstrated empathy and sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, history and culture.
