Josh Brock & Trevor Moses

Josh Brock & Trevor Moses

The North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA) would like to congratulate Josh Brock and Trevor Moses on their completion of the Melbourne Marathon on 12 October 2014.

Josh and Trevor ran the marathon to raise funds for the NAAJA Kieran ‘Chilpy’ Boylan Cadetship.

Chilpy was a dedicated NAAJA Throughcare Caseworker who was taken from us too soon in March 2014.

Chilpy’s hard work saw NAAJA Throughcare grow and develop into a program that is leading the nation in supporting Aboriginal prisoners to transition back into the community after being released from prison, and to break the cycle of offending.

NAAJA established the Kieran ‘Chilpy’ Boylan Cadetship to provide a pathway for an Aboriginal person to study a Bachelor of Social Work and a possible career path with NAAJA upon completion. Chilpy was passionately about supporting Aboriginal people into a career in the justice sector.

Josh and Trevor put in an outstanding effort and completed the marathon in 3:03:00 and 03:34:52 respectively, almost beating their goal time of 3 hours.

Even more impressive has been the generosity of the community with the total amount of donations exceeding $9000. Brock & Moses 2

NAAJA is now well on track to establish the Cadetship in 2015!
